Octagon Weddings and Receptions

5 stars really don’t feel like enough for Ella, Alby and Eva at Octagon Barn. They were absolutely incredible from start to finish and played such a huge part in making our wedding day completely magical. Ella and Alby were amazing at understanding our vision and the plans we had for our day. They were there with us the day before the wedding while we were setting up the barn, which was so reassuring and made us feel that everything was in the safest possible hands. Unfortunately, we had torrential rain that evening, which meant we couldn’t set up the woodland area for our ceremony as planned. My partner arrived early on the wedding morning and Ella had completely transformed the woodland area. She had set up our floors, octagon arch, candles and all of our boho accessories so beautifully. Therefore I had not seen the woodland set-up before walking down the aisle, and honestly, that made the moment even more special. Seeing everything come together for the first time as I walked down was absolutely magical and completely exceeded my expectations. I loved it! Ella was also there for every little detail throughout the day. When we had our big group photograph in the field with flares, she was straight there helping to make it happen, even finding ladders for the photographer so she could get everyone into the shot. One moment really showed us just how incredible Ella is at handling anything that comes her way. We had hired an electronic violinist to play on the lawn during our drinks reception, but unfortunately she had a medical episode and was unable to perform. Ella dealt with the situation so calmly and professionally. She looked after and assessed the lady, arranged for a speaker to be brought out to the lawn and put together a Spotify playlist so our drinks reception could continue. She managed the whole situation discreetly, contained it inside the barn and made sure the lady was able to get home safely. Despite something completely unexpected happening, Ella handled it so brilliantly that it didn’t take anything away from our day. Our wedding was still 100% perfect. The barn itself looked absolutely stunning, and we had so many compliments from our guests about how wonderful everything was. The archery was a huge hit, and the suppliers recommended by Ella and Alby were fantastic — Best of Bars, Norfolk Edge for our table feasts and 4 Aces Fun Casino all helped make the day so memorable. Alby was also brilliant throughout the evening, helping to get everyone together for sparklers and marshmallow toasting around the fire pits. It was exactly the kind of relaxed, fun and magical atmosphere we had hoped for. We genuinely had the best time, and we have received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the wedding was. We know that a huge part of that was down to Ella and Alby. They understood our vision, cared about every detail and, most importantly, made us feel completely looked after so that we could simply enjoy our wedding. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did. They went above and beyond in every possible way, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Octagon Barn to anyone looking for the most incredible wedding venue and team. This is the most beautiful venue, with so many spots to choose for the ceremony. We chose the woods and it was magical. There were so many different locations for photos that you can take your pick of. The Barn itself was very accessible for our older relatives as a one level open space (there’s a little ramp to the lawn), but the different areas were sectioned well so the space felt perfectly sized. The car park is huge which made it easy for our guests. We loved using the lawn for our drinks reception and then the fire pit area for the evening. It felt like there was a perfect spot for all parts of the day. Ella and Alby went out of their way to make everything perfect. They were so professional and it was easy to see they care about making everything perfect for you. It was really lovely meeting them! The venue is dry hire so we were able to pick everything we wanted from scratch for our own style. You don’t even need to add much to the Barn it’s already so beautiful with all the fairy lights. Honestly could not speak highly enough of the Octagon Barn and the events team!

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue than The Octagon Barn. From the very beginning, Ella & Alby made the whole planning process so easy, and everything on the day ran seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. The barn itself is absolutely beautiful, and we've had so many compliments from our friends and family about both the venue and how friendly, welcoming and organised the team were. Working with Matt and Kerry from Best at Bars, as part of the package, was just as seamless. Both they and the Barn gave us the flexibility to add our own personal touches, which made our day feel even more special. We genuinely couldn't recommend The Octagon Barn highly enough. It gave us the most perfect day, and we'll always look back on it with the happiest memories.

I can’t thank Ella and Alby enough for helping organise and host my mother’s wake at this gorgeous barn. From the initial meeting too the day itself they both help make something that could have been extremely difficult into something lovely for my mum which everybody enjoyed. The barn looked incredible and with some much needed advice and recommendations from them our friends and family definitely got the wow factor on the day. We had THE BEST wedding day at the Octagon Barn! It’s an absolutely brilliant venue, yet feels less known than some other Norfolk venues - but we really couldn’t have imagined a better venue for our day. Only 15mins drive from the centre of Norwich, so it has the benefit of being a countryside venue with easy access to the city, which is so convenient as lots of our guests were coming via the train from London and staying in the city centre. It has a beautiful south facing garden for the ceremony and reception drinks which could not have been more perfect; a huge gorgeous barn for our reception dinner, including a big dance floor; and loads of great outdoor areas for photos and for our guests to roam. A cherry on top, is the lovely Ella who manages all the weddings and events there - she only took over as venue manager 6 months before our wedding, but was brilliant and reassuring from the start - she was clear and prompt in communication, gave good recommendations and advice, built strong relationships with our main suppliers and helped make sure the day itself ran seamlessly, with her and Alice being very hands on to help set up and pack down. Such an amazing venue and we couldn’t have been happier with it! From the very first time we stepped into the Octagon Barn, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. It’s such a stunning venue; full of charm, character, and warmth, and it created the most magical setting for our day. What really made it extra special, though, was Ella and Libby. From the very start of planning, they were an absolute dream to work with, supportive, organised, and so genuinely caring. They helped us create the vision for our decor, gave fantastic advice on styling and suppliers, and nothing was ever too much trouble. When we walked in on set-up day, the space completely took our breath away. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly thanks to them, and we were able to just enjoy every moment. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything flowed. We’ll treasure our memories of the Octagon Barn forever and would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue run by the most wonderful team.

Ella and Estelle are a wonderful team and provided us with support and assistance were needed, being more than happy to get stuck in! Dear Ella & Estelle. We just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our day run so smoothly and for all of your support. You were both amazing - my daughter said 'they were on point!' The barn is a magical place and we truly had the best day of our lives. All of our family and friends said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

It was absolutely everything we imagined it to be and everyone had the best time. The Venue is truly stunning. Photos do not do it justice. You must go and see it to really feel the magic. The location is easy to get to and there is ample parking available. Really please with how everything went. Thank you so much!

We had our wedding at the Octagon barn in September and it was just perfect. The venue is stunning and the most amazing blank canvas. We had endless compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the barn, ceremony spaces and grounds in general were. The location is great, none of our guests had issues finding accommodation close by. Ella and Libby were nothing short of incredible, the day ran so smoothly and they were beyond helpful from start to finish of planning and on the day. Their knowledge and expertise were so helpful, as a couple who hadn't been to many weddings so didn't have much experience to draw on for things like timings, order of the day and small details, this was invaluable. Nothing felt like too much and they were a lovely calm presence throughout. We honestly could not recommend this venue enough!!!

What an amazing day, and what a beautiful venue! We had the BEST wedding day at the Octagon Barn, it really was magical! The inside of the barn is stunning, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful as well, the whole venue really gave such an elegant yet rustic vibe! The barn is only a 15 minute drive from the centre of Norwich which made it an ideal location when considering accommodation for guests. To top everything off, Ella and Libby were fantastic from start to finish and played a huge part in making our day so special! They brought energy, ideas, and gave us such useful advice… always so responsive to any questions we had. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but both Ella and Libby really made the process easier for us! We would highly recommend the Octagon Barn for anyone getting married!

We had our wedding at the Octagon Barn in August 2024 and it was the best day ever. The barn and gardens are absolutely gorgeous and Ella and Estelle went above and beyond supporting us in the lead up to the wedding and on the day of.
