5 stars really don’t feel like enough for Ella, Alby and Eva at Octagon Barn. They were absolutely incredible from start to finish and played such a huge part in making our wedding day completely magical. Ella and Alby were amazing at understanding our vision and the plans we had for our day. They were there with us the day before the wedding while we were setting up the barn, which was so reassuring and made us feel that everything was in the safest possible hands. Unfortunately, we had torrential rain that evening, which meant we couldn’t set up the woodland area for our ceremony as planned. My partner arrived early on the wedding morning and Ella had completely transformed the woodland area. She had set up our floors, octagon arch, candles and all of our boho accessories so beautifully. Therefore I had not seen the woodland set-up before walking down the aisle, and honestly, that made the moment even more special. Seeing everything come together for the first time as I walked down was absolutely magical and completely exceeded my expectations. I loved it! Ella was also there for every little detail throughout the day. When we had our big group photograph in the field with flares, she was straight there helping to make it happen, even finding ladders for the photographer so she could get everyone into the shot. One moment really showed us just how incredible Ella is at handling anything that comes her way. We had hired an electronic violinist to play on the lawn during our drinks reception, but unfortunately she had a medical episode and was unable to perform. Ella dealt with the situation so calmly and professionally. She looked after and assessed the lady, arranged for a speaker to be brought out to the lawn and put together a Spotify playlist so our drinks reception could continue. She managed the whole situation discreetly, contained it inside the barn and made sure the lady was able to get home safely. Despite something completely unexpected happening, Ella handled it so brilliantly that it didn’t take anything away from our day. Our wedding was still 100% perfect. The barn itself looked absolutely stunning, and we had so many compliments from our guests about how wonderful everything was. The archery was a huge hit, and the suppliers recommended by Ella and Alby were fantastic — Best of Bars, Norfolk Edge for our table feasts and 4 Aces Fun Casino all helped make the day so memorable. Alby was also brilliant throughout the evening, helping to get everyone together for sparklers and marshmallow toasting around the fire pits. It was exactly the kind of relaxed, fun and magical atmosphere we had hoped for. We genuinely had the best time, and we have received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the wedding was. We know that a huge part of that was down to Ella and Alby. They understood our vision, cared about every detail and, most importantly, made us feel completely looked after so that we could simply enjoy our wedding. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did. They went above and beyond in every possible way, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Octagon Barn to anyone looking for the most incredible wedding venue and team.
