A little about the Octagon Barn

The Octagon Barn is unique and the only building of its type, unchanged from its original design.

Built around the late 1600s to the early 1700s (the lack of builder’s records don’t help us to date it precisely!) as a non-conformist Methodist meeting chapel, the original 8-side shape sits under a magnificent open vaulted octagon roof to give a grand central atrium.

We would recommend the venue without hesitation.

We got married at the Octagon during the pandemic; it was it our original planned venue. Katie and the team were amazing in making everything work. We would recommend the venue without hesitation (lovely fields, great barn) but the way we were treated and supported went beyond any of our expectations. An amazing venue for any event, of any size. Highly recommended.

The barns where we had our ceremony were perfect

We had our wedding here in July 2023 and it was so much than we could’ve asked for. Since Sammi took over at The Octagon Barn she made sure we had everything we needed for our day and nothing was too much to ask. From advice, last minute additions and helping us set up and breakdown she made sure everything ran smoothly and there was no stress. The venue itself is beautiful. The barns where we had our ceremony were perfect and the venue itself has so much character it hardly needs anything. We would highly recommend this place for any event!

Where do we start with this wonderful place…..

I’m a year late writing the review because I’ve been trying to find a way to express how amazing it is. We got married here in May 2022 and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue. Not only is it beautiful, but you can dress it how you like, have the flexibility on your own catering, bar, entertainment. There is no corkage for welcome and table drinks, and the planning team are brilliant. We can’t recommend the venue enough and has made an ever lasting memory for our big day. Thanks again team.
